Angel Card Jan 2, 2015 - Play

play
/plā/

verb
1. engage in activity for enjoyment and recreation rather than a serious or practical purpose.
2. take part in (a sport).

Noun
1. activity engaged in for enjoyment and recreation, especially by children
2. the space in or through which a mechanism can or does move

So often I (we) think of play in terms of children. This was reinforced as I read different definitions and most of them sited that it is an activity for children. In Sanskrit,  the word for play is lila (or leela) and very curiously I didn't find any references to lila and children.

lila    लीला

certain sweet and playful goodness that characterizes a universe whose essential nature is Shakti (the powerful, energetic principle).

How can we/I incorporate both play lila into my daily life?

To do something each day for the shear sake of enjoyment?

To engage with, connect and remember the essential nature of the universe - the sweetness, the goodness  of Shakti
